Chinese Proficiency Test (Youth) YCT
Youth Chinese Proficiency Test (YCT), known in Chinese as 中小学生中文考试(Zhōng xiǎoxuéshēng zhōngwén kǎoshì), is an international standardized Chinese language proficiency test that assesses the ability of elementary and middle school students to use Chinese as a second language in their academic pursuits and daily activities.
YCT comprises two sections: spoken and written tests. The written test consists of five Levels, and the Speaking test consists of Elementary and Intermediate levels. With the help of pertinent Chinese teaching and training institutes, YCT aims to advance Chinese as a second language in schools at different levels and assess the quality of instruction.
